About Multiple Encounters

Multiple Encounters is a group of Seven Print Artists. They all are from various parts of the country, living and practicing in Delhi/NCR.

The initiation of the group "Multiple Encounters" began with the erstwhile group name Indian Printmaker's Guild of 12 printmakers. They all worked at Lalit Kala Artist Studios Garhi since 1980's

In due course of time the following artists - 1. Ananda Moy Banerji, 2. Dattatreya Apte, 3. Kavita Nayar, 4. Moti Zharotia, 5. Sushanta Guha, 6. K.R.Subbanna and 7.Vijay Kumar from - USA - started working together as "Multiple Encounters" it was aimed as an artists collective to collaborate on the Art of Printmaking and become an umbrella which fosters and support Printmaking talent in the country.
